It's Been a While

It has been a while since I posted anything on here-hit-and-running Facebook.  Life has a way of messing up our best plans.  Well,  I've started shooting my Nikon digital again after almost a year of almost exclusively shooting film.  It was not even having it powered.  I had to ask Tom to loan me his charger, because I couldn't find mine.

I wanted to put up a few images of Seth when I took him to a launch.

Quick Dinner Tesday

Wheat tortellini with three cheeses.  Sause is roasted Roma tomatoes with roasted garlic, sautéed thinly sliced onions.  Topped with freshly grated parmigiano reggiano.  Taken on my stove with my Fuji digital.

Today's Flight

Today we launched from the Home Depot on 99 and Fry Road.  Captain Dale landed for a bit, but it would have been so difficult he wound up landing at the Houston Executive Airport.  It was a little rocky at first as we tried to get their attention to let us in.

These guys rocked. They not only let us in, they lead us via taxiways to the landing spot. I did not take many pictures of the airport for obvious reasons but wanted to show how invaluable their help was.  The above is of the truck that lead us to the landing site.

In this second image, you can see is a takeoff happening behind us as we rushed to get Chameleon buttoned back into the box.

The Illusion?

This was a test shot I did after powering on my D70 after 8 months.  Then as I looked at it, I think I noticed the illusion that the rectangle is not square.  Am I just nuts?

Today's Dinner

This was my dinner tonight.  A BLTA with wheat bread and bacon coming from the Chappell Hill Meat Market.  Luscious ripe tomato and a perfect avocado.  I think you can see the differences in thickness on the cut of bread.  I need to get better.  The salad is a spicy dijon red potato salad. I  had one on Wednesday at work and it rocked. I really liked this one as well.

The Egg and I

Patty is always finding new places to eat so I figured I would check out Egg and I before I suggested it.  The waitstaff was friendly, if not very fast and efficient.  The coffee nowhere near what I used to-but as a caveat, I always get coffee, black, bold at Starbucks.  My food arrived too cool but the taste was good.  I think when I go back and try something new next time to see if they can be placed on my rotation.
