336 - Java Java Cafe

During the week I try to eat a healthier breakfast, but during the weekend i let my hair down.  Today I want to Java Java Cafe in The Heights (on 11th Street just west of Heights Blvd.).  Since I had my California Benedict yesterday, today I decided on their Eggs Florentine.  I love the extra tanginess of their hollandaise sauce.  Yes folks, it is every bit as good as it looks.

I sat outside in their small patio.  It is cloudy and light rain mist is falling.  The service is very low key-more a place to dine in than a fast food restaurant.  You don't feel like everyone is in a rush to turn over the table.

I taken a lot of pictures of public art in the heights and this mural caught my eye months ago.  Something has always kept me from stopping.  Today Lola was just too full, so I stopped here.

Tom and I are always taking shots of this place.  It sits between the parking structure and the gym.  The corner to my left, as  I take the picture, is our pool.  There is something calming about walking here.  Just a couple of months ago it looked like this.

Hanging Artwork

I never thought I would ever hang artwork at home.  I have pictures hanging in the kitchen (cows), and the downstairs bathroom.  Now I want to start hanging more.  But I have to learn how to do the actual hanging correctly.

I have been trying to work on presentation lately.  I saw these bagels at the grocery store.  I am going to try and eat a little better this year so...

Whipped cream cheese (with chives) on one side, turkey bacon (was not able to get to Chappell Hill today due to work) and a fried egg with asiago cheese.  Drinking the last of my Christmas blend coffee from Starbucks (of course).  But I still have my Komodo Dragon.  Even got my mother liking that one.
