365 - The Babies

Figured I'd end with my monsters who are getting big, are healthy-and are still crazy like their daddy.

It was a long year.  I can fully understand why people have just quit a month or two into the project.   I've  had some shots I considered really good.   Others, not so much.  I found I certainly have a lot of quit in me.  But I have Tom there to shame me into a second wind.  And third.  And fourth.  Where am I going next?  I don't know but I got and idea and that too should be a good ride.

PS: My BOI does not have those jowls, and Baby Girl is not growling at me.  They were flustered at having a camera shoved in their face...

364 - Look What I Found

Most of my family and friends won't know what this is, but to those that do-I still have mine!

356 - 2011 BFA Approved Balloon Safety Seminar

Over 50 pilots and crew from the Lone Star Hot Air Balloon Association and Central Texas Balloon Association for a day long Safety Seminar.  Wonderful speakers. You would not believe the experience and talent available in this pool of pilots.  This got me excited to get serious about lighter-than-air flying.

Working for ConocoPhillips, safety is drilled into us all the time.  Our work is never so important that we can go about doing it in a safe manner.  These pilots and crew are no slouches in the safety department either.

Oh, and I won a Starbucks card as a door prize-and y'all know about me and Starbucks.

I keep looking for telephone booths, something that so very common in my youth.  I saw this one and got all excited until I found that it was sealed.

342 - Root Veggie Soup

This is my dinner this evening to offset my brunch (see the check-in on my wall.)  It has a slightly sweet taste to it due to half a sweet potato I added.  This puppy sticks to your ribs.

341 - Breakfast Today

This was my breakfast today.  I call it my California Benedict.  A warm croissant topped with a layer of thin sliced Roma tomatoes,  a layer of avocado, two poached eggs, home made hollandaise sauce and some paprika.  The warm croissant and cool tomato and avocado just makes my mouth explode!

Update:

This is Java Java Cafe's version of this dish.  I am going to have to learn to cook those potatoes.  They have a really good hollandaise sauce. But there is something about a good smoked paprika.

340 - Cup of Joe

The term "cup of joe" was first recorded as entering our lexicon in 1930, but its origins are cloudy.  Of the theories running around, the best contender is that it morphed from "jamoke," itself a contraction of java and mocha.

338 - Root Veggies

Winter is a perfect time to eat root veggies.  I am trying to eat healthier with a lot less meat.
