I want one of these puppies. I love Dyson products, they are as good as they say it is.

181 - Haunted Patterson Road II
Last night I helped Tom work on some Netapp Filers. Well, mostly I just hung out with him during the outage and helped him when he needed an extra pair of hands. I drove through Patterson Road at about 9:30 PM and this was the scene. I am stopped just before the bridge and took this picture with the iPhone. The only changes made were crop to remove part of auto dashboard.
Back at end of March I blogged about Haunted Patterson Road and included a link to some information. The story goes that during our Civil War, a battle was fought here and that at night, if you park your auto on the bridge and turn off your lights and engine, that you will hear the tapping of the lost souls walking past.
I was going to work on day very very early. It was still pitch black outside, when I heard thumps on the car in places that should not have been thumping. It made me speed up.

180 - Being Watched
Well it has been almost 6 months. Can't tell you how many times I thought about quitting. It's a lot of work. Today I saw this little critter giving me 'tude. We were properly cowed and left him to his sunning.

179 - The Fourth Floor
Elevators and fourth floor. A recurring theme. A few years ago, right after the parking structure was built, I was less disciplined about where I parked my car. So, one day I was on the ground floor looking for the then Taurus when Norman drove by to tell me it was on the fourth floor. So, I decided to start parking in the same place every day.

177 - Reflections
That is not trellis work in the middle. The left side is composed of windows of the Permian building which reflects what's on the right side. The right side is the Lobo building where I camp during the day.

175 - Dinner Sunday
I fried wanton wrappers to make small tacos, then stuffed them roasted chicken, and a pico-type relish using New Mexico Hatch Chiles, onions, fresh garlic and cilantro with a little lime juice. All resting on savory guacamole. That little spoon has the piece de resistance-smoked sea salt.

172 - Pattern and Texture
Pattern
Texture (and taste)
Hot dog is from 5 Guys and Fries which Zagat says has overtaken In-N-Out Burger as the #1 burger. Let the burger wars begin 'cause everyone knows the best burgers are at my house.

167 - Blew Bayou
The start of the flight.
Going down range.
[Film Scan Ektar 100]
Looking inside Blew Bayou while inflating.
Beau and the gang stowing the balloon after flight. And "yes" I did help.

165 - Into the Sun
While not strictly kosher, I have really wanted to do a picture like this with a real camera. Shooting towards the sun, Chameleon (R) and Blue Drifter (L).

161 - Ranchera Sauce
Today was downtime for me. I did not hear Capt. Dale call the cell for Beau's flight. I really need to get his balloon, Blew Bayou in the calendar. He's smart, he's funny and always watches my back and to make sure I don't screw up too badly.
This morning I went back to work on my ranchera sauce recipe. What I am trying is to avoid is 30 ingredients and half a day of cooking. I like where it is right now but it is not quite there yet. I have a base which is close (the jar in the picture) and with each try I add different things to test. This morning it was Vietnamese cinnamon since I did not have Mexican. Ooh, I just thought of what it might be... Oregano! Mexican of course. That is a hot sausage from Chappell Hill (two "L".)
Anyway, Mike, this is for you.

159 - Ty-Ty
Tyler (Ty-Ty) celebrated her 14th birthday in June. We got her at 8 weeks. She's 58 lbs. She has cataracts. She is not as spry as she used to be but she can still have that teenage enthusiasm she is known for. I think despite the annoyance the babies are to her, they are keeping her young. I am washing her bedding this morning and will probably move it back into my room since I wake up with her there anyway.
The other day I was sitting on the floor of the living room (approx. in front of her here on the other side of the room) and she came and sat on my lap. I was shelling peanuts so I shared half of them with her. She's always loved peanuts.

157 - Hydrogen Balloon Launch
The first passenger carrying hydrogen balloon launch in the Houston, TX area since 1927 happened August 4th, 2010 at Richmond, Texas. The truck from Air Liquide is to the right of this scene. The black hose is delivering the hydrogen.
Phil Bryant(L), Bert Mann(back to camera) and Dale Tibodeau(R) can be seen during the last moments before launch. We all got together to pray for a safe voyage. They landed the next morning. You can follow their flight path on Spot (no longer available). They landed safely at about 8AM.
My baby. Shot 50 images from here (2x220 & 1x120.) Also shot 3 rolls of Ektar 100 (x36), 2 rolls of Fujicolor 200 (x24), 1 roll of Polaroid Polagraph 400 (x12). Plus digital and have a couple of shot videos. Something has to be working.

154 - Belaire Launch
The Balloon on the left is what really got my interest in ballooning going. The one on the right you have seen a million times is the one I try and crew on. I say try because it is hard crewing and taking pictures.
