I saw the original. This evokes an entirely different sentiment -- more lonely, distant, with a sense of what am I missing on either side where all the light is. Is there some great banquet going on that I am missing by my hesitancy to choose. Hence I am caught in a purgatory where I am bound to be lonely and inconsequential. It leaves me wondering when and where I'll find that door to join the party.
